ABOUT USMommy's Little Monkey™ 
The Story
On a quiet evening in 1998 Evie Ballesteros curiously sat and listened to her sister speak tenderly of her new transition into motherhood. Although not a mother herself, Evie could only imagine what it felt like when her sister shared with her the discomforts of publicly breastfeeding her newborn baby. Evie’s new secret quest the following days was to find a solution to this problem. Heading off to the store she found great little items that she could use and manipulate into a covering for her sister while she nursed in public. After gifting her sister with this new cover the appreciation for something so simple yet so functional moved her to gift her other two sisters, family members and friends with the same creation. Once time to make one for herself she finally understood the emotions and set out to make the perfect cover. A cover with sufficient coverage and privacy, embellished with beautiful detail and secure closures was her mission. A passion for breastfeeding and motherhood grew in Evie as she spent time creating that perfect nursing cover and dreams followed behind.
The Dream
After the birth of her third little monkey Evie decided to finally listen to the advice from others and started her own business. Evie named her business after her endearing nickname for her three beautiful children. With so much encouragement and support from her husband and knowing at that point that her idea needed to be protected she did what she never thought she could possibly do, she wrote her own patent. After months of agony she was finally done and set off to launch her website and new baby: Mommy’s Little Monkey™. With her vision to help other women with their public breastfeeding concerns and to assist in the breastfeeding movement, Evie has brought to you her patented creations The Nursing Curtain® and the Simple & Sweet Nursing Curtain™. The Dream Continues
With such a great supportive group of women surrounding Evie they have helped fuel her passion for breastfeeding and post partum transitioning issues. The women in her life have answered her questions, have asked her questions that have led her to find the answers to, and have been there to speak about the topics no one ever touches. From this, Evie’s love and passion for motherhood and breastfeeding has grown and flourished. Dreams of making her once small business into a beautiful company surrounding women and motherhood has become a reality.

Native Californian, Evie Ballesteros, resides in beautiful San Diego, California with her husband and three children. Evie’s love for her hometown of Chula Vista and Mexican heritage keeps her rooted close to her grandmothers, many family members and closest friends.
